Seeds from Tecoma smithii or Orange Bells. This hybrid evergreen shrub is smaller growing and a more delicate texture than Tecoma stans, it is one of its parents T. smithii will grow 8 to 12 feet tall and wide. The orange tubular flowers, appears from summer through fall, they will fade with age to pale orange yellow. Best if planted in full sun and watered occasionally. They can tolerate light shade and low water conditions. It can also be trained up as a small tree. Tecoma X smithii is very drought tolerant once established. It prefers a periodic drink. It will bloom better in the sunny location but survive better in the shade if no irrigation is provided. Zones 8 to 10.
