Seeds from Styphnolobium Sophora japonica also known as Pagoda tree, Chinese Scholar, or Japanese Pagoda Tree. It is a popular ornamental tree in Europe, North America and South Africa, grown for its white flowers, appearing in late summer after most other flowering trees have finished. It grows into a large tree 30 to 60 feet tall with an equal spread, and produces a fine, dark brown timber. Hardy in zones 4 to 9b.
