Seeds from Strelitzia caudata Bird of Paradise commonly known as the Mountain Strelitzia or Wild Banana, is a species of banana like Strelitzia from eastern S. Africa. This Bird is quite different than the other species as the flowers of the lightest cream to white color. Tall, banana like tree up to 20 feet, with a fan shaped crown. Caudata has a fishtail split at the end of the leaf. Hardy to 20 to 25 degrees.
