Pint plant from Stipa tenuissima. Upright grass that will produces fine, needle like green foliage, with silky green flowers in July that mature to golden blonde. It is native in North America only to mountains in west Texas and New Mexico and south to central Mexico. It can become invasive in California and other areas. It doesn’t need to be cut down, just gently raked through in spring to remove the old foliage and flowers to reveal the bright green new growth. Zones 7 to 10.
