Seeds from Stenocarpus sinuatus or Firewheel Tree. This upright growing evergreen tree reaches to 100 feet tall in its native rain forest habitat but is usually seen as a tree 25 to 30 feet tall by 15 feet wide. It has gray bark with brown branches and it is also notable for its very attractive large 5 to 15 inch long dark green leathery leaves that have wavy margins. The 1 to 1 2 inch long flowers, primarily red or reddish orange with yellow tips, are arranged with 5 to 20 flowers looking like a red wagon wheel. Zones 10 to 11.
