Starter Plants from Solanum mammosum. Commonly known as nipplefruit, fox head, cow’s udder, five fingered eggplant, or apple of Sodom. It is an inedible Pan-American tropical fruit. A annual in the Solanaceae family, and part of the Solanum genus, making this plant a relative of the eggplant, tomato, and potato. Although the fruit is poisonous, it can be cooked and eaten like a vegetable when it is unripe. The fruit is a berry type, and has waxy yellow skin with reddish-brown seeds.
