Seeds from this Schisandra chinensis or Magnolia Vine. Magnolia Vine is native of E Asia and has elongated oval leaves and clusters of small, whitish-pink flowers, followed by most ornamental, bright red berries. It is one of the most ornamental edible vines you could ever wish to grow. Scratch the bark for an intense, clean fragrance that is a combination of Daphne and lime peel. The flowers of the Magnolia vine are insignificant, but the 4 clusters of bright red berries are gorgeous. Plants are best grown in any humus-rich, well-drained soil in a partially shaded to a sunny spot and are hardy in zones 5 to 9.
