Seeds from Ribes aureum, known by the common names golden currant and buffalo currant. It is native to Canada, most of the United States (except the southeast) and northern Mexico. A deciduous shrub growing to 6 feet with a fragrant golden yellow flowers in early Spring. The delicious yellow orange red and black currents can be eaten in the Summer. They have small bright green maple like leaves lovely in the Fall. Zones 5-8.
