Seeds from the very Red Travelers Palm or Ravenala homkondambo. This statuesque red trunk version of this popular palm is always the center of attention when in any garden. This palm grows 20 to 40 feet tall in zones 9 to 11. The white flowers will start appearing when the plant gets about 10 feet tall. As the leave axles grow from the center stalk, they can hold water and therefore were said to be used by travelers to get a drink.
