Seeds from Psidium guajava Pink Apple Guava. A fast growing small tropical evergreen tree that grows to 33 feet tall in zones 9 to 11. It has spreading branches and smooth thin, copper colored bark that flakes off, showing the greenish layer beneath. The leathery leaves are opposite oblong elliptic, 3 to 6 inches long with pronounced veins. When crushed, the leaves are aromatic. Guava trees grow rapidly and fruit in 2 to 4 years from seed. Becoming a popular bonsai species.
