Phlomis russeliana- Turkish sage or Jerusalem sage, is an upright herbaceous perennial of the mint family. It usually grows to 3′ tall and to 2′ wide. Velvety 8″ sage shaped leaves. Small, tube-like, hooded, two-lipped, yellow flowers in whorled clusters bloom from July to September at intervals. Flower clusters in late summer turn into ornamental seed heads which remain attractive throughout fall into winter. Flowers are attractive as cut flowers or for dry arrangements. Hardy in zones 5-9,
