Seeds from Philadelphus coronarius. The leaves turn more golden than the Philadelphus lewisii. It is a popular ornamental plant for gardens in temperate regions, valued for its profuse sweetly scented white blossom in early summer. Philadelphus coronarius is listed as a somewhat larger plant 12 feet tall x 12 feet wide at maturity. A fast growing shrub with arching, fountain like form, and fits especially well in corners. Oval, pale green, 1 ½ to 4 inch long leaves emerge in early spring showy white, 1 to 4 inch, single or double blooms follow in early summer. Zones 5 to 9.
