Gallon plant of native passiflora Incarnata or Maypop is extremely easy to grow and will produce lots of small edible fruit each summer. The vine grew to about 30 feet and was pretty much pest free. The caterpillars did not seem to want to eat this one as much as some of my others. This vine is foliage hardy in zones 9 and higher and root hardy in zones 6 and above. Passiflora incarnata is a North American native host plant for the Gulf Fritillary, the Variegated Fritillary, the Banded Hairstreak, and the Red banded Hairstreak butterflies.
