Here I am offering a Gallon Plant of Passiflora hybrid Fata Confetto. This 10 foot vines has velvety blue colored blossoms which are perfect for growing over a trellis, and these flowers are constantly in bloom. This plant loves both sun and part shade. Maurizio Vecchia is the breeder of Passiflora Fata Confetto. He kindly told me that Fata Confetto is a personage of a dance from The Nutcracker, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is the name of the song, and In Italian the name of the character is Fata Confetto.

Since Maurizio has more experience than anyone else with this plant, we listen when he tells us

“In my garden this Passiflora is frost proof up to – 16C during the winter. It Loses all branches but in the spring is reborn from root suckers, and blooms quickly.”
