Passiflora Caerulea Blue Crown is root hardy to zone 8. It will blossom throughout the summer with 3 inch blossoms of large white petals with bright blue filaments and a dark navy center. Grows to 30 feet. Plant in full or partial sun. The more sun the more flowers. Cut back by one third in the dormant season as blossoms form on new growth. As with most passionvines, it is a real favorite with the butterflies. Passiflora caerulea is a North American native host plant for the Gulf Fritillary, the Variegated Fritillary, the Zebra Longwing, and the Julia butterflies.
