Seeds of this Very Rare and easy to grow Musa voonii. New Musa Species from Northern Borneo. The species is abundant in the Lawas area, Sarawak, East Malaysia and in isolated locations within a radius of 200 km from Lawas. Musa voonii is a medium-sized plant with a slender densely clustering, reddish-purple pseudostem to about 10 ft. tall. The inflorescence is held horizontally and produces shiny, deep reddish-purple bracts that are followed by small, pale fruits to 4. 5 in. long. Although seeded, the fruits are quite flavorful. Musa voonii is closely related to M. beccarii. It thrives in hot, humid environments. Zones 7-11
