Seeds from this Musa ornata orange flowered variety. Very small plants that seem to take forever to put on any growth, but well worth the wait. Originally from India this 5 foot plant is hardy to zones 9-11. It can benefit from slow release fertilizer and fish emulsion and kept in full sun. It has pestfree foliage and a maroon/orangish midrib running down the 2 foot leaf. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1″ deep and kept at 72 – 80 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate.
