Seeds of this rare and very easy to grow Musa campestris var limbangensis dark Limbang Swamp Banana. A smallish Musa from Northeastern Sarawak and Brunei on the island of Borneo. It forms extensive clusters of faded light green, sparsely blotched pseudostems to 3 ft. The inflorescence displays beautiful, light pink to purple bracts followed by a small, slender, whitish fruit with heavy purple striations in a candy stripe pattern. This variety became known to the world when the Bobby T, the Bruneian fruit man, published his book in the early 90s on the fruits of Brunei Darussalam. Seeds have perhaps never been offered before.
