Seeds from Musa acuminata cv. Dwarf Banana. Only growing 6-9 feet tall, this banana is hardy in zones 8-11 and does produce lots of 5 inch fruit from the pink-pale purple bloom. This is a very manageable banana for the landscape also. This is a easy banana to grow and is very good in containers. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 3/4″ deep and kept at 68 – 77 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months to germinate. Zones 9 – 11.
