The leaves are very large, up to 10 inches long, glossy dark green and oval. Medinilla magnifica will grow up to 6 feet high in zones 10 and above. They like to be watered from the bottom and they love shade. This is definitely a pot plant that needs to be in a greenhouse in most places during the winter weather.
