Seeds from Snapdragon vine Maurandya antirrhiniflora. This flowering vining member of the snapdragon family is an annual vine that is great for hanging baskets. This 6 to 10 feet long vine of thread-like stems has 1 inch magenta or purple blue flowers. It can be very showy on a sunny lattice work in a hot climate. It needs sun and regular water with good drainage. It does not tolerate long term cold or drought very well. Has recovered from the roots at 15 degrees. It will take temperatures as low as 0 F. in its range but that is the desert cold and is only there for a few hours. Although it is a desert plant it seems to tolerate a lot of water.
