Lychee fruit is high in the antioxidant Vitamin C and the essential mineral Potassium. Lychees are eaten in many different dessert dishes and are especially popular in China. In the northern hemisphere are ripe during the month of June. It grows in full sun to part shade with very little extra care and has very few insect problems. Hardy in zones 9b to 11.
