Seeds from Lilium humboldtii ssp. ocellatum also known as the “Oscellated Humboldt Lily” is often found growing along streamsides. This lily has large 3 to 4 inch red-yellow flowers on 3′ spikes. Will tolerate clay in it’s on a slope, but is a little harder to start in clay soils. This is a rare and endangered taxon with a limited distribution. Hardy in zones 5a-10.
