Seeds from Lilium cernuum Knodding Lily is a small, stem-rooting lily with linear leaves, mostly concentrated in the middle third of the slender stem. Bears fragrant, recurved, pale lilac, pink or purple flowers. Lime tolerant, but prefers moist, peaty soil. Russia to Korea. It grows to typically 50cm tall. The flowers are white to purple, though usually pink in colour, and spotted maroon, and are scented. It is similar in many respects to Lilium pumilum. Named cernuum for its nodding flowers Hardy in zones 3 to 9.
