Quart plant of Koelreuteria bipinnata, Chinese Golden Rain tree or Bougainvillea golden-rain tree. It can grow 16 to 25 feet tall and 15 feet across. In the spring this tree produces long strands of bright yellow flowers up to 5 feet long. They are then followed by these huge seed heads of dark rose seed pods appearing as large begonia-like bracts. They grow in full sun to part shade with very little extra care and have very few insect problems. Hardy in zones 8 to 11. Enjoys cooler winters and is hardy to 10F.
