Seeds from Iris ensata v. spontanea. Purple-violet colored flowers on 20 inch tall stems. Large flowers with yellow mottling at center, on plants with grass like foliage. Blooms late spring and early summer. Native from Eastern Asia were it is found in Damp areas along rivers and near lakes. Soak seed in a glass of hot water for three days, changing the water with hot water every 24 hours. Zones 5-9.
