In cultivation since the 16th century and often referred to as the Lemon Lily, this late spring flowers species has as many as 8 to 12 clear yellow blooms in a flower head. Very fragrant with a sweet scent. Excellent for naturalizing. Hemerocallis flava grows in big, spreading clumps, and its leaves grow to 75 cm (30 in) long. Its scapes each bear from 3 through 9 sweetly fragrant, lemon-yellow flowers. Zones 3-9
