This is a deciduous herbaceous perennial to about twelve inches tall. Reportedly, it can grow to three feet tall. It has attractive, pendant spikes of yellow flowers. This plant can spread aggressively in a moist site by way of the small adventitious corms that form on the old flower spike. It spread is not rampant in my dry garden. This is a durable plant that thrives in moist, shady spot but can tolerate some sun and drought. It is recommended for zones 7b and south.
