This wonderfully unusual plant is called Geum triflorum or Prairie Smoke. This pretty pink perennial will blossom into the summer with nice pink blooms. May thru June and in the fall, it displays these clouds of wispy purple haze. Growing only 6 to 12 inches tall in zones 3 to 8, these plants can grow in full sun to part shade and prefer medium to dry soil. Fall planting or stratification needed.
