Seeds from this Eupatorium-purpureum or better known as Joe Pye Weed. This plant features large round heads of vanilla-scented, rosy pink flowers that bloom in late summer. Butterflies flock to the flowers. Whorled leaves surround tall sturdy stems making the plant attractive in the landscape even when it is not blooming. This zone 4-8 perennial grows from 4 to 8 feet tall and likes full sun or light shade. Pinch back in the spring for shorter plants.
