Seeds of Ensete lecongkietii is a new accepted species and is native to Vietnam. The new taxon is smaller than E. superbum in dimensions of pseudostem and leaf and different in floral characters. It will grow happily in tropical climates, but will tolerate temperate climates with temperatures above 40 degrees. Be aware that these can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate.
