Starter plant of this wonderful bulberous vine, Dioscorea batatas, that I grow in pots on my patio. The leaves are 1″ wide and 2″ long and are very shiny with deep veins and are very pointed This plant has never blossomed for me but does produce very small tubers along the stem as it grows. This plant will form a vine for the patio and along a trellis or quick growth for a covered patio area. I have had three plants on my patio for the past three years and find that pests or diseases are not a problem with them.
