Seeds of Dictyosperma album Princess Palm or Hurricane Palm. This cultivar has green petioles with distinct veins. A monotypic genus of flowering plant in the palm family found in the Mascarene Island in the Indian Ocean. This 30 foot palm is nearly extinct in its habitat because of wholesale conversion to farmland. Young 8-10′ fronds twist and droop because of their flexible midribs giving a curving appearance to the leaves.
