Pint plant of Dicliptera suberecta King’s Crown, Hummingbird plant or Justicia suberecta. These clumps of orange tubes are in blossom from late spring to early fall in zones 8 and above. The velvety gray leaved plant is a real magnet for hummingbirds. Last summer I counted 8 hummingbirds at one time on this 2 foot high perennial. Quite a drought tolerant plant I don’t think that I have ever had to water them.
