These medium sized tree ferns stands as a symbol not only of the country of New Zealand, but of the people of New Zealand themselves. The mature plant will live through temperatures down to freezing, which is 32C or 0F, but they are easily lost in any frost. In summer keep them moist, and in winter keep them in a heated greenhouse.
