Seeds of Codonopsis viridis or Green Bonnet Bellflower. A pretty late summer twining climber with a greenish corolla with intricate dark red markings internally. The tips of the petals are recurved and the distinctive calyx resembles an acorn cup in shape. The stems are dark red and the leaves large. The only downside is that this one is slightly tender so best grown either a greenhouse or in a large pot. A small, deciduous climber with slender shoots, heart-shaped leaves and pretty, greenish-white, bell-shaped flowers blotched and streaked with purple inside that appear in autumn.Can grow up to 6 feet in zones 8-11.
