Gallon plant of Clerodendrum speciosum – Flaming Glorybower. An attractive, rare, and unusual evergreen climber with heart-shaped leaves and clusters of red flowers with red bracts in summer and autumn. Sometimes produces blue, bean-like fruits in autumn. It’s not fully hardy so is best grown in a very mild area or in a greenhouse, where it should be shaded from the strong sun. Sometimes known as Pagoda flower, this carefree vine is attractive both in and out of bloom and will flourish if given support, such as a trellis or fence. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds! Hardy in zones 8b-11.
