Seeds from this wonderful Clematis mandschurica Manchurian Clematis, Leatherleaf Clematis and Yam leaved Clematis. Masses of small white, star-shaped flowers with a sweet aniseed scent in July thru Sept. Plant in a sunny position to enhance the scent. This herbaceous species, growing 4 to 6 feet tall. closely related to C. recta is non-clinging for the first metre or so in zones 3a to 9b. After this the leaf stalks begin grasping for nearby support.
