Seeds from Cedrela fissilis or Brazilian Cedarwood. An interesting and rare deciduous tree from Brazil and Paraguay that are evergreen or dry-season deciduous trees with pinnate leaves, native to the tropical and subtropical New World, from southern Mexico south to northern Argentina. Growing to 50 ft. or more with velvety stalks bearing dark green pinnately compound leaves and yellow-green flowers in large, foot long clusters in May and June. Winter hardiness 30-32 F. This plant is currently threatened by habitat loss.
