Seeds from Cardiocrinum cordatum glehnii. This rare hardy perennial bulb is shorter and has more tubular and greenish blooms than the species variety of this Yunnan Lily. There was just a touch of magenta in the throat of the flowers and a faint speckling at the ends of the petals as can be seen in the close-up of the flower. The flower stems are 6′ tall and the scent is more spicy than other types. Basal rosettes of shiny leaves that in early spring resemble those of a glossy Hosta. Stratification of these Seeds from germination is helpful.
