Camellia-sinensis-Green-Tea-plant-quart plant

Quart plant of the Commonly called tea plant, Camellia sinensis is an evergreen shrub species grown for its glossy, edible leaves and fragrant autumn flowers. It grows best in cool, moist climates within U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 to 11, where it will grow to 20 feet tall with a 15-foot-wide canopy. Tea plants are most commonly propagated using vegetative propagation methods such as cuttings, but they will also grow dependably from fresh seeds. The seeds germinate fairly quickly once sown in warm, moist medium; however, they must be scarified before sowing to weaken their hull and ease sprouting. Use Well draining soil mixture. Carefully remove the outer shell and plant at 3/4″ depth. Keep only lightly moist – not wet, keep warm and in filtered sunlight.
