Pint plant from Camellia japonica Mrs. Lyman Clarke. An old species recognized for its large, breathtaking blooms, Mrs. Lyman Clarke Camellia produces an abundance of gorgeous flowers with petals that are pink at the edges fading to a large, ruffled, white to creamy-white center with scattered bright yellow stamens peaking out from between the petals. The dark green leaves provide a wonderful backdrop for the these flowers. Excellent for cutting and use in indoor flower arrangements or float just one in a bowl of water. Follow a regular watering schedule until completely established. Likes mulch to keep roots cool and promote water retention. Use an acidic fertilizer in autumn, with organic matter to supplement year round. When flowers are so dense that the blooms don’t have room to open fully, prune dead or weak wood. Tolerates pruning well. Height: 10 ft. to 12 ft. Width: 3 ft. to 10 ft. Zones 7 to 9.
