Seeds from Calytrix tetragona Common Fringe Myrtle is an Australian shrub in the myrtle family. Prefers a dry climate with low humidity. Most are 2-6 foot tall small to medium shrubs with star-like flowersin the fall ranging in color from white through, yellow, pink and purple to red. They thrive in full sun and prefer well drained soil and even tolerate very sandy soils. Hardy to light frosts only in zones 9-11.
