Starter plant of this hard to find giant pineapple lily or Pole Evansii – the darkest purple foliage of all pineapple lilies 2′-3′ tall. This South African native has a conical flower head filled with fragrant florets and topped with a peacock tuft of green leaves, resembling a pineapple. Each bulb will produce only one flower head in each season although each season produces more bulbs.
