Rare Seeds from A population of Brahea found in desert Central Mexico is cultivated under this commercial name Super Silver. Leaves are bright silvery white with thornless leaf stalks. Very long, arching inflorescences extend well beyond the leaves. Fruits are small and black. It is native to dry, high altitude valleys around 1800 m 6000 ft. where they are one of the dominant elements of the local vegetation. It stands out in the genus because other Brahea species have spiny leaf margins. Brahea Super Silver has great prospects in horticolture.
