Pint Plant from Bougainvillea Double Red. A medium grower with striking double red flower bracts and deep green foliage. It will need support to climb up to its full height of around 9 feet. Double Red is a slower growing variety so will require less pruning and will do well in pots. Take care with your initial planting out as all bougainvillea are sensitive to having their roots disturbed. Double Red will enjoy a sunny warm frost-free location and will be quite drought tolerant once established. Liquid feed regularly if in pots during the warmer months and feed with a slow release fertilizer at the start of spring and summer if in the ground. Zones 10 and up.
