Seeds from Asclepias vestita or Woolly Milkweed. A gray-green sprawling perennial used by the butterflies as a food source. Is a great addition to bird and butterfly gardens. This hard to find plant is only native to California. The thick leaves are oval to narrowly lance-shaped. The stem and leaves often have a coat of light-colored hairs, sometimes thick and woolly. The inflorescence is an umbel-shaped array to a spherical cluster of yellowish flowers. The flowers may be tinted with brown or purple. Zones 7 to 10.
