Starter Plant from this Virginian Silkweed Asclepias syriaca. These blossom from May – August in zones 4-9b and will bring the Monarch butterfly which will lay their eggs on this plant. The gorgeous soft pink colored blossoms and seem to last for weeks. These 4 – 6 foot plants are perennials and grow in full sun and sandy soil is best for them. Quite a drought tolerant plant I don’t think that I have ever had to water them and are excellent for poor soils.
