Seeds from Aquilegia oxysepala where it is native to parts of northern Asia and Europe. On the Red List of endangered plants in Switzerland. A unusual columbine flower with maroon blossoms. It thrives in dry, sunny spots in open forests or on rocky slopes. The seeds can be started indoors, planted just below the surface of a flat and kept at a temperature of 60-65 degrees F until germination. Zones 3 to 8.
