Seeds from Anigozanthos humilis or Cats paw. This is a shorter leaves to 30 cm. unbranched species known by the common name of Cat’s Paw. The woolly flowers on these Australian natives are mainly yellow with patches of orange or orange with patches of yellow, but can be red as well. Hummingbirds flock to these striking blooms. Long-lasting cut flowers. Needs little water, good drainage and sun. Cut spent flower spikes to ground. Water during spring and growing or blooming season. Tolerates only a little frost. Grows 1-11/2′ tall and 2 feet wide. Zones 9 and up.
